ATKINSON — The best from the East played the best from the West Saturday night for NVC bragging rights.
Unfortunatey for the Elgin Public-Pope John Wolfpack, they came out on the short end of a 45 to 31 score as Chambers prevailed as NVC Girls Basketball Champions for 2009-2010.
The Lady Coyotes jumped out to a nine-point lead in the first quarter, forcing the Wolfpack to play catch-up the rest of the way.
The Wolfpack struggled from the field, making just 11 of 48 shots in the game.
