President Heithoff called the regular monthly meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  Board members present were Steve Heithoff, Stan Heithoff, Bob Hoefer, Steve Busteed, Doug Jones, and Laurie Waterbury.  Also present were Superintendent Dan Polk, Principal Greg Wemhoff.
President Heithoff led the “Pledge of Allegiance.”  Heithoff reminded everyone that a copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Law was posted in the meeting room.
School board meeting notice complied with Meeting Notice Policy #204.07.
Stan Heithoff motioned and Laurie Waterbury second to approve the Consent Agenda: #5- Minutes of Previous Meeting, #6- Adopt the Agenda, #7- Financial Report, #8- Board Bills. Motion carried, vote 6-0.

President Heithoff recognized visitors and asked if the patrons had any comments.  There was no correspondence.
In Committee reports, the Americanism Committee approved the social studies books.  The negotiation committee will present during the action items.
Principal Wemhoff reported on the past month’s activities.  Summer school will begin July 7th through August 1st.
Supt. Polk reported that the wind tower money will come to the school in the form of a nameplate tax.  Summer work continues at the school.  No one was hired for the part-time Title 1 position so Mrs. Thiele-Blecher will be assigned to include the parochial students in her schedule.
In action items, lunch and breakfast prices were discussed.  Steve Busteed motioned to set breakfast prices at $1.50 for students and $2.00 for adults and set lunch prices at K-6 students – $2.10, Gr. 7-12 – $2.35 and adults – $3.00.  Motion was seconded by Doug Jones.  Vote 6-0, motion carried.
The negotiation committee presented the teacher negotiated agreement for 2016-17 and 2017-18.  Base salary increases $800 each year.  Waterbury motioned, Bob Hoefer second to approve the negotiated agreements with the base salary of $33,300 for 2016-17 school year and $34,100 for the 2017-18 school year and rewording of Item #12.  Vote 6-0, motion carried.
Jones motioned, Waterbury second to approve the safety plan as per yearly review.  Vote 6-0 motion carried.
Waterbury presented information that she had received at the School Law Seminar.
Motion by Stan Heithoff, seconded by Busteed to adjourn the meeting.  Vote 6-0, motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 8:06 p.m.
The next regular meeting will be held on July 13, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in the Distance Learning Room at Elgin Public School.  A hearing for the Student Fee Policy 504.19 at 7:00 p.m., Bully Prevention Policy 504.20 at 7:10 p.m. and Parent Involvement Policy 1005.03 at 7:20 p.m. followed by the regular meeting at 7:30 p.m.
