Holy Hotcakes, the heat wave is BACK!!! Goodness it’s been hotter than Haiti these past few days!!! Despite the warmer weather, we’ve all still been able to get there and enjoy some good golf this past week.
The ladies all had a great time on Thursday night as Linda Miller’s team was host. Unfortunately, our flag prize winners and score sheets met the trash can a little early this week so I don’t have anything to report from. I do know that everyone had a great time so I guess that is all that counts, right?
The Neligh Chamber of Commerce had their annual golf fun night on Friday, July 29. There were six teams of four that came out for the fun and that is exactly what we had…FUN! Flag prize winners were as follows:
Hole #1: Longest putt – Kay Schilling (way to “sink it” Kay!) Hole #2: Closest to pin in 3—Dew Drop; Hole #3: Closest chip—Bev Hartz); Hole #4: Longest drive in fairway—Lesley Kester (Nice drive Les!); Hole #5: Longest Putt – Kay Schilling (Apparently she’s got herself a heck of a putter!); Hole #6: Closest in 1—Jonny D’s; Hole #7: Closest to the pin in 3 – Lesley Kester; Hole #8: Closest to pin in 1 – Tom Farber; Hole #9: Longest drive in the fairway—Jami Schmitt (Good job Jami!)
Host team for this week’s August 4 match is Joy Field’s team. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us as they are always creative!! Until next week….
