An Oakdale woman faces two felony charges related to the theft of funds from the Village of Oakdale.
On Friday, Oct. 24, Megan Brandt, 31, of Oakdale, was arrested by Ant-elope County Sheriff Bob Moore on the charges of theft by unlawful taking, a Class III felony; and unauthorized use of a financial transaction device, a Class IV felony. According to Moore, the arrest and charges stem from an investigation by he and Deputy Sheriff Larissa Funk, into a report made by an Oakdale Village Board Member. The report was of funds missing from the Village of Oakdale while Brandt was employed as the village clerk.
As of Tuesday, Brandt was being housed at the Antelope County Jail in Neligh. Bond was set at $100,000, 10 percent by the Antelope County Court.
