1922 – 2012
Elizabeth C. “Betty” Musser, 90 formerly of Oakdale, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Cottonwood House Assisted Living in Columbus, NE.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Oakdale, NE, with Reverend Carroll Plicek officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Huffman-Levander Funeral Home in Elgin, NE.

Elizabeth Carrie (Christensen) Musser, daughter of Neil Jr. and Nellie (Clark) Christensen, was born March 11, 1922 at Westlake, OR. She graduated from Gardiner High School in Gardiner, OR and attended Business College in Portland, OR.
Betty married Elmer W. Musser on May 6, 1944 at the 1st Christian Church in Klamath Falls, OR. She worked for Montgomery Ward as a credit manager in Oregon and worked as a cashier for Montgomery Ward in Norfolk, NE. She started working in Neligh, NE for Agricultural Stabilization (ASCS) in 1956. After a 26 year career with ASCS, she retired in March 1982.
Betty was a member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, American Legion Auxiliary, the Sew and So Club of Oakdale, and the Betty Club.
She is survived by her son: Wesley N. Musser and wife Lynn of Laurel, MD; two daughters: Linda R. Rumsey and husband Dan of Columbus, NE; Cheri G. Blocher and husband Mike of Oakdale, NE; three grandchildren: Jonathan Musser and wife Amy; Amy Blaser and husband Chris; Bryan Busteed and wife Kerrie; six great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Elmer in 1998; and two brothers: Dick Clark and Leland Christensen.
