The Elgin City Council will convene for their regular December meeting next week.
The council is scheduled to meet on Monday, Dec. 1, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Among the items on Monday night’s agenda are:
• Replacement of toilets at Elgin City Park
As part of the night’s agenda, there will be a reorganizational meeting where the oath of office will be administered to Mayor Mike Schmitt and newly-elected Ward #1 Councilman Duane Miller. Also, at that time a vacancy on the council for Ward #2 will be formally declared. No one ran for election in Ward #2 this year.
