The District #18 Board of Education will hold a public hearing Thursday night on the proposed 2009-2010 school budget.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 7:20 p.m. in the distance learning room at the high school.
Superintendent Steve Dennis said last week the proposed budget calls for a tax request of $2,107,543.77 for the general fund and $131,300 for the special building fund.
As a result, the proposed tax levy for the general fund would be 0.770673 and the building fund levy would be 0.048013. The total levy would be 0.818686.
