With the annual Vetch Days celebration being less than two months away, the Elgin Community Club Monday night set the theme for the event.
“Back to the Future” was chosen by club members to be the theme for the celebration to be held June 18-20. It will also be the theme for the parade which will be held Tuesday, June 19.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will follow the same route as last year. The majority of the meeting was spent discussing dates for upcoming events.
Sunday, May 6, the club will be serving breakfast at the KC Hall as part of a fundraising event. Breakfast featuring pancakes, link sausage and other items will be served from 8 a.m. to noon with all proceeds going to the club. Club president Lynell Morgan said the event will be a free will offering. Proceeds go to the Q125 celebration
