At Monday evening’s Elgin Community Club meeting, businesses agreed to the combined effort to hand out treats to Trick or Treaters this Halloween.
With the holiday landing on a workday, children are invited to visit businesses in the afternoon, especially after school. It will give youngsters a chance to show off their costumes before the sun goes down. Because of the highway, it is suggested that an older, responsible child or an adult accompany youngsters.
Participating business will have the sign (at left) on their doors, inviting you to stop by for treats. Members wanting to hand out treats may pick up their sign at the Elgin Review office during regular business hours. Our offices will be closing at 3 pm on Thursday in order to cover the first round football playoff game.
