ELGIN CITY COUNCIL
Budget Workshop
August 25, 2011
A budget workshop was held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at the Elgin City Hall. Notice of said meeting had been posted at three places, namely, Elgin City Hall, Dean’s Market and the U.S. Post Office, as prescribed by law.
Mayor Schmitt called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. and announced the location of the Open Meeting Act.
Council members present were Shirley Nissen, Don Mackel and Jim Kittelson. Councilman Kenny Jochum was absent.
Also present was Vicki S. Miller.
The Council and City Clerk discussed the estimated receipts and expenditures for 2010-2011 and the proposed receipts and expenditures for 2011-2012.
Also discussed was the proposed budget for 2011-2012.
Discussion was held on fire truck storage.
No formal action was taken during the workshop and the workshop adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
