A weekend celebration will mark the Q125 celebration for Bartlett on July 16-18.
Activities will get underway Friday evening with a street dance featuring “The Raiders” from 8 p.m. to midnight.
On Saturday, events get started early with registration for a Fun Walk/Run from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The one mile Fun Walk begins at 7:30 a.m. while the 5K Fun Run will begin at 8 a.m. Both routes will begin and end at the “Cowboy & Horse Statue.”
Rolls and beverages will be served from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing till 5 p.m. there will be an art/photography/quilt show. Other events will include the Wheeler County Author’s Gathering, Herb Mignery Art Display as well as numerous craft vendors.
Other activities during the day include a hamburger buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a car show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Steak Cook-Off will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Afterwards, beginning at 7:30 p.m. with be a hypnotist show which will be free to the public.
Sunday activities will begin with a pancake feed from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The art show/photography/quilt/craft show will resume at 9 a.m.
The tractor show line up will begin at 9 a.m. with judging to start at 10 a.m., the same time as the sand volleyball tournament.
Lineup up for the parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. Parade entry judging will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the parade to start at 1 p.m.
Wheeler County Community Foundation grant awards will commence at 1 p.m.
Following the parade, raffle drawings will be announced. In addition, family games, kiddie games, a horseshoe tournament and pedal tractor pull will start at 2 p.m.
The celebration will close with a potluck picnic at 4 p.m.
