EWING — Ten strokes is all that separated the Wolfpack from Norfolk Catholic who won the Ewing Golf Invitational held Wednesday at Summerland Golf Course.
Norfolk Catholic won the golf invite with a score of 333, Elgin Public-Pope John was second at 343. Other team scores were Ewing 348, Ainsworth 349, O’Neill 349, West Holt 360, North Central 366, Niobrara 369, Osmond 375, Stuart 394, Elkhorn Valley 399, Clearwater/Orchard 416, and Verdigre 428. There was no team score for Santee or West Boyd.
Ben Rowse and EPPJ’s Curtis Childers tied for medalist honors, each shooting an 18-hole score of 76. Childers shot a 38 on the front nine and matched the score on the back nine.
For the Wolfpack, other individual scores were Evan Parks (45-42) 87, Brenden Henn (42-48) 90, Andrew Heithoff (46-44) 90 and Zach Baker (47-44) 91.
