The Elgin City Council held its annual reorganizational meeting as part of its regular meeting on Monday, December 4.
As part of the meeting, Councilman Craig Niewohner was elected council president. He assumes the position previously held by Mike Dvorak for a number of years.
That was just one of several actions taken by the council. A resolution setting appointments and committees for 2024 was approved as was a resolution signing the year-end certification of city street Superintendent.
