Marjorie C. Seier, 86, of Petersburg, NE, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Friendship Villa in Spalding, NE. Marjorie C. Seier, the daughter of Okey and Catherine (Brochtrup) Camp was born on February 23, 1925 at Elgin, Nebraska. She gra-duated from Petersburg High School.
On Feb-ruary 19, 1946 she was united in marriage to Frank E. Seier at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg. The couple farmed and raised their 10 children south of Petersburg.
Marjorie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.
She is survived by 10 children: Don and wife May of Petersburg, Ralph and wife Barb of Wood River, NE, Mike and wife Sue of Neligh, NE, Ann Mueller and husband Lew of Chambers, NE, Karen Schrage and husband Tim of LaVista, NE, Pat and wife Lynnette of Petersburg, Lavern and wife Vicki of Madison, NE, Leon and wife Jeanie of Spalding, NE, Marvin and wife Melody of Pilger, NE, Myron and wife Tammy of Albion, NE; 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother-in-law Alvin Luettel of Petersburg, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, a granddaughter Tricia Seier; 3 brothers, Jerome, Ben and Harold Camp and 2 sisters, Ruth Thoendel and Helen Ruther.
Funeral Services were held Monday, August 1, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg, NE with Fr. Jim Murphy officiating.
