With less than 11 months to go, Elgin’s Q125 Committee will be holding a community meeting next week to bring residents up to date with plans for the celebration.
The meeting, open to the public and local organizations, will be held Monday, July 29, at the Elgin Community Center, beginning at 7 p.m.
Over the past few months, members of the Q125 committee have been working on fundraising events as well as putting together a scheule of activities for the celebration which will be held June 20-22. Representatives from organizations who are actively participating in the celebration are urged to attend.
Due to the Q125 celebration, there will be no Vetch Days celebration in 2014.
