Holy Week worship services will be held at churches throughout the Elgin area.
At St. Boniface and St. Bonaventure Catholic Churches, services will be as follows:
April 9 — Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper (Raeville) — 7:30 p.m.
April 10 — Good Friday Celebration of the Lord’s Passion (Raeville) — 3 p.m.
April 10 — Good Friday Celebration of the Lord’s Passion (Elgin) — 7:30 p.m.
April 11 — Easter Vigil Mass (Elgin) — 8:30 p.m.
April 12 — Easter Sunday Mass (Raeville) — 8 a.m.
April 12 — Easter Sunday Mass (Elgin) — 10 a.m.
At Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin, Easter morning worship service will be held at 9 a.m.
At Park Congregational Church, a Good Friday worship service will be held at 7 p.m.
On Easter Sunday, a breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. followed by a 9:15 a.m. worship service at the church.
At the Elgin United Methodist Church, a Maundy Thursday service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
A sunrise Easter service for the parish will be held at Ritter’s pasture located west of Tilden at 6:30 a.m. Immediately afterwards, a carry-in breakfast will be held at Peace United Church of Christ in Tilden.
An Easter worship service will be held at 9 a.m. at the church in Elgin.
Ecumenical Service
Local churches will be participating in an ecumenical “Stations of the Cross” service on Good Friday at 3 p.m. at the Elgin United Methodist Church.
