It’s quiet now, but in a few days the Elgin Swimming Pool will be one busy place.
The pool, located on the north edge of Elgin, will open for the summer season on Monday, May 28, weather permitting. Pool hours will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
Lifeguards this year are Connor Kinney, Madison Voborny, Michelle Bauer and Ivy Prater. Sub life guards will be Sharla Schindler and Hayley Stamp.
Co-managers of the pool will be Sue Vanis and Emily Vanis, Jamie Bode will be the sub-manager this season.
Season ticket prices will be the same as one year ago: Family — $90; and Individual — $60. Daily admission price will be $250 (for large pool admission).
As in past years, Red Cross swimming lessons will be $40 per session (dates to be announced). Water aerobics are planned again this year (dates and times to be announced).
