Our library has been awarded a BOOKS FOR CHILDREN grant. We also were selected to receive an additional $350 worth of math and science books. This means our library will receive $1,400 in books from the Libri Foundation. As our local sponsor, the Elgin Library Foundation will provide $350 (money raised at our silent auction ). The Libri Foundation provides a 2-to-l match. We should have the books (approximately 70 books) ordered and on the shelves in time for our summer reading program!
