ELGIN — Sometimes it just takes a spark to change the direction of the game.
The Wolfpack benefitted from such a ‘spark’ to pull away in the second half to defeat O’Neill St. Mary’s 49 to 34.
The outcome of the game was still in doubt late in the third quarter.
That’s when the spark happened. Freshman Keyera Eisenhauer seized the moment and made a steal as St. Mary’s was bringing the ball up the court. She then dished the ball to Taylynne Charf who drove to the basket and scored the team’s first field goal of the second half.
