Meeting last week, the Antelope County Board of Supervisors established a “city” rate and a “village’ rate for law enforcement being provided by the Antelope County Sheriff’s Department.
Supervisors voted 7 to 0 to charge $4 per capita for cities and $2.50 per capita for villages starting on October 1. For villages, the rate will rise to $2.75 per capita in 2012 and to $3 per capita in 2013.
The action took place after supervisors considered negotiating contracts.
