The Elgin City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at 7:30 p.m., pursuant to posted notice.  Mayor Schmitt called the meeting to order, and announced the location of the Open Meeting Act.  Council members present were Shirley Nissen, Don Mackel, Jim Kittelson and Kenny Jochum.

• Negotiating the cost of the City lot for sale

• Quick claim deed for Plantation Street

• Selling the patrol car and old maintenance pickup

• Placing the loader on Big Iron in October

• Clerk gone July 25th, 26th, and 27th

• Daily attendance at the pool

• Red Cross Lessons

• Meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
