EWING — After 18 holes of golf, the Wolfpack and Norfolk Catholic were tied for first place Wednesday afternoon.
In sudden death, Norfolk Catholic claimed the team title in a two-hole playoff.
They and the Wolfpack each shot 336, finishing third was North Central with a team score of 354.
Nick Heithoff led the Wolfpack with a 79 with was good enough for third place. Tyler Childers shot an 84 to place sixth, Andrew Heithoff came in with an 85 to place seventh while Evan Parks shot an 88 to place 13th.
Saturday Action
Due to weather conditions, the Plainview Golf Invite Saturday was cut back from 18 holes to nine holes.
The Wolfpack varsity golf team recorded a score of 170 to finish second at the meet. Winning the team title was Plainview who came in with a 155. Finishing third was Stanton 175 followed by Laurel-Concord 177, Oakland-Craig 178, Creighton 188, Pierce 189, West Holt 192, Neligh-Oakdale 196, Crofton 198, Leigh 206, Randolph 211, O’Neill 222, Plainview JV 235 and Niobrara/Verdigre (not a full team) 1153.
Leading the charge for the Wolfpack were Andrew and Nick Heithoff, each with a score of 40. Andrew finished fifth and Nick placed seventh. The only other medalist was Tyler Childers who placed 13th with a score of 43. Rounding out the Wolfpack were Evan Parks 47 and Kyle Heithoff 50.
