The polls open today at 8 am and will remain open until 8 pm in Elgin. On the ballot today is the Elgin Swimming Pool Bond. In order to maintain a pool in Elgin for many years to come, repairs and updates must be made. A recent — very generous — donation has covered 1/3 of the estimated costs. Local donations combined with the bond will make up the final 2/3. Both Wards 1 & 2 will be voting at the Elgin Knights of Columbus Hall. Remind your friends & family.
