Elgin City Council to Meet Monday Night

Members of the Elgin City Council will convene in regular session on Monday night, November 7.

Scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, council members are expected to address the issue of overhanging trees.

Discussion and action is likely on a letter to be sent out to Elgin residents who may have trees which have been determined to be a problem.

Other items on the agenda for Monday night are:

• Plantation Street survey

• Leaking roof at fire hall

• Handling city ordinance vio-lations

• Legislative updates

• Big Iron diåscount for future items

• Building permits for Jeremy Hoefer, Denis Henn, Capital Select, Lynn Koinzan and Dave Jochum

Among the reports to be presented are maintenance, police, attorney, trash/recycling, treasurer’s, transaction report and claims, councilmans’ and clerk’s.

The meeting is open to the public.
