District #18 to Utilize K-12 Principal in 2012-13

Meeting last week, the District #18 Board of Education put another piece of the puzzle into place for the coming administration of a new superintendent.
Having made the decision to advertise for a full-time superintendent, the school board renewed the contract of high school principal/athletic director Adam Patrick and told him they intended to add more responsibility — the position of elementary principal.
“You’ve done a good job,” School Board President Laurie Waterbury told Patrick. This is Patrick’s first year as principal for District #18, having come here from Laurel-Concord Public Schools.
The role of elementary principal this year has been held by Superintendent Steve Dennis just as it was by his predecessor, Lee Hall.
That’s the future for the school district. The school board spent nearly 30 minutes looking at present issues. Earlier this month, members of the buildings and grounds committee toured every nook and cranny of district buildings, looking for repairs which needed to be made.
