Under ideal conditions Monday night, the Elgin Chamber of Commerce/Community Club held their monthly meeting at the Plantation Bed & Breakfast.
Those in attendance feasted on appetizers as President Greg Tharnish reviewed the 2009 Vetch Days Celebration held last month.
It was noted that there was a good crowd attending the Community Appreciation BBQ held the last night of Vetch Days.
More than 400 persons were served at the event which also featured a pep rally supporting the sports co-op between Elgin Public and Pope John Central Catholic schools.
