A familiar face will continue his duties as president of the District #18 Board of Education.
At Wednesday night’s regular meeting of the school board, Superintendent Mike Brockhaus presided over the reorganization of the school board for the calendar year.
Steve Busteed was re-elected president of the school board. He was first elected president four years ago, taking over the position previously held by Steve Heithoff. A verbal acclamation vote was held with all board members voting aye.
Busteed then re-assumed control of the meeting and it wasn’t long after that board officers assumed their duties. They are:
• Lisa Welding was re-elected vice president
• Todd Heithoff was elected treasurer, assuming the duties previously held by Stan Heithoff who did not seek re-election
• Ron Bode as elected secretary. He takes over the position previously held by Doug Jones, who like Heithoff, did not seek re-election.
