The Elgin Red Cross bloodmobile was held at the KC Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 11.
According to organizers, they missed their goal by just four units as 56 units of blood were collected.
Those reaching gallon milestones were Bill Eischeid 16, Veronica Olnes 3, Darline Warner 3 and Mike Kerkman 2.
There were no first time donors.
The next blood drive will be held Oct. 6 at Pope John Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School.
