John Byron Byrd, MD passed away October 27, 2008. He died in an automobile crash south of Wood Lake NE. Memorial services were held Saturday, November 1 at St. Boniface Church in Elgin NE with Father Dan Andrews officiating. Another memorial service will be held Saturday, November 8 in Northwood, Iowa. Inurnment will take place at a later date. The family has requested memorials be made to the Wood Lake Fire Department, Wood Lake NE 69221. Isabelle Viola Kerkman, daughter of John and Josephine (Lampman) Kuester was born July 13, 1915 at Elgin, NE. and passed away on October 30, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Neligh, Nebraska.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 3, 2008, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin with Father Dan Andrews officiating.

David J. Voss, 42, of Wyoming, MN, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, as a result of a motorcycle accident. David is the husband of Rita (Mescher) Voss.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2008 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the church, with a 7:30 p.m. wake service.
