Lila (Kerkman) Winger, 76 of Neligh, NE passed away at her home on Thursday, August 18, 2016 following a battle with cancer
A visitation was held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Huffman-Levander Funeral Home in Elgin, NE.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Raeville, NE. Huffman-Levander Funeral Home of Elgin, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Lila Henrietta Winger, daughter of Ted and Theresa (Dinslage) Kerkman, was born August 18, 1940 at Petersburg, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg, and attended St. John’s Catholic School in Petersburg, graduating in 1958. She attended college at Mt. Marty College in Yankton, SD before moving to California.
Lila married Ted Roulinavage and the couple was blessed with a son, Greg. Lila worked as an administrator for several years.
On June 5, 1976, Lila married Roy Winger at LaPalma, CA. The couple lived in California, Montana, Washington and Nebraska.
During that time, Lila was employed in a variety of jobs including owning and operating a restaurant, working for The Boeing Company, and as an administrator for a steel fabrication company in Washington. Lila and Roy retired and moved to Nebraska in 2009.
Lila was a good homemaker, enjoyed sewing and loved to travel, taking several cruises.
She is survived by her husband Roy of Neligh, NE; son Greg (Deanna) Roulinavage of Lake Forest, CA; son Michael Winger and daughter Kristen Winger of Charlotte, NC; two sisters: Doris Baum of Elgin, NE; Marlene Kluthe of Victorville, CA; two brothers: Denis (Jeannene) Kerkman of Tilden, NE; Kenneth (Ruth) Kerkman of Petersburg, NE; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Gene Kerkman; nephew Todd Kerkman and son Eric Winger.
