Old Man Winter just won’t let go. At least another 10 inches of wet snow fell yesterday evening and through the night. After rain throughout the day, there was plenty of ice under the snow making for hazardous driving conditions. Law enforcement and rescue units responded to a number of accidents including at least one rollover on the Oakdale cut across and several vehicles in the ditches on Highway 14 just north of Elgin — in the curve. The good news is, late March snow doesn’t seem to last very long. Most businesses in town are open but a few have rural employees who can’t make it into town yet. Would suggest you call before heading out.
