Cloudy skies turned to sunshine late Saturday afternoon for the annual Pope John XXIII Central Catholic Golf Tourament. Twenty-seven teams competed in the 18-hole tournament spread over three flights. Winning the championship flight was the team consisting of (above, l to r) Heath Petsche, Curt Zegers, Kade Wiese and Easton Petsche. Placing second was the Josh Beckman team. Finishing first in the First Flight was the Dave Beckman team followed by the Drew Schindler team. Taking the top spot in the Second Flight was the Luke Beckman team followed by Lynn Selting’s team. Tournament play began shortly after 9 a.m. and concluded with a meal at the clubhouse after 4 p.m.
