ELGIN — Stuart led early, but Elgin Public-Pope John then took over and rolled to their seventh victory of the season, topping the Broncos 55 to 38.
Over the final three quarters the Wolfpack outscored Stuart 46 to 26. Coach Michael Becker’s team continues to show improvement, limiting Stuart to single-digit scoring in the second and fourth quarters.
Down three after one quarter, EPPJ seized the lead with an eight-to-zero run over the last four minutes of the second quarter. Freshman Blake Henn got it started with a field goal inside, then Paiton Hoefer converted a steal into two points.
