Starman Leads Wolfpack in Scoring

It was a year of adjustment for the boys basketball team from Elgin Public and Pope John Central Catholic.

This marked the first year for the sports co-op and the team had an up and down year, finishing 8-12.

Senior Jeff Starman led the team in scoring, averaging nearly 15 points per game, most coming inside where he was double-teamed.

Teammate J.J. Reestman was the only other player to average in double figures, tossing in 11.6 points per game. Teammate Tyler Johnson averaged nearly nine points per contest.

Starman was the team leader in rebounds, pulling down 201 during the season, an average of 10 per game. Johnson snared 126 rebounds, 6.3 per game.
