ELGIN –  Twelve teams competed at the Elgin Invitational held last Tuesday.  Pope John finished 4th with 125 points.  Elgin finished 8th with 60 points.

Girls

SPALDING – The Lady Eagles fell behind early in the game and neer regained any momentum as Spalding/Spalding Academy defeated Elgin, 51 to 25.

ELGIN – The Lady Crusaders made it two in a row Tuesday night as they deafeated Leigh 65 to 41.

Boys

CHAMBERS – It took an extra period Saturday for the Elgin Eagles to prevail over Chambers 50 to 44.

ELGIN – Outscored in all four quarters, Pope John suffered a rare home loss Tuesday night to Leigh by the score of 49 to 34.
