Elgin city crews are already hard at work with snow removal from today winter storm that swept through. Winds are expected to pick up during the night and, as we earlier reported, schools in Elgin will be closed tomorrow. As of tonight, we appear to have missed the projected 6-8 inches of snow. However, heavy snow coupled with wind at times today kept things interesting. E-R photos
