Slow start costs Wolfpack Tuesday night at Fullerton

FULLERTON — The trio of Jack Wemhoff, Paiton Hoefer and Colton Wright combined for 49 points Tuesday night, but Fullerton claimed a 69 to 64 victory.
Down 49 to 44 entering the fourth quarter, EPPJ cut the lead to one point with just under four minutes left in the game. Hoefer had seven points during the run, Wemhoff and Wright each added two.
Fullerton, leading 58 to 57, then pushed the lead back to six points as Cole Horacek drilled a trey and completed a three-point play to account for the scoring.
Nick Anderson and Wright had back-to-back points to close the margin to 64 to 61 with 1:31 left in the game.
Fullerton then closed out the game at the free throw line, making five of eight free throws. EPPJ answered with a two-pointer by Austin Good and a Wemhoff free throw to close out scoring. Catch all the highlights in this weeks Elgin Review.
