ALBION — The Tom Dickey Cross Country Invitational was held under challenging conditions.
Rain last week resulted in a course change as runners ran a three-mile race as opposed to a 5000K.
At this event, medals are awarded to boys and girls in four different divisions (freshman, sophomore, junior & senior).
Junior Matthew Kerkman placed eighth in his class with a time of 20:20.60. Winning the junior division was Andrew Kastl of Norfolk Catholic with a time of 16:35.60.
Senior Samantha Stuhr finished eighth in her division, posting a time of 23:21.20. Winning her division was Mayla Sukup of Norfolk Catholic with a time of 19:59.40.
Overall, Amelia Buhlke of Central City posted the fastest time – 19:39.10. On the boys side, Kastl had the fastest time.
