Boys and girls who enjoy the sport of football turned out Saturday for the annual NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Competition.
The event was held Saturday afternoon at Elgin Field and hosted by members of the Wolfpack football team.
Youngsters earning first place honors in their respective age groups were (total score cumulative total of one punt, one pass and one kick):
Girls
Age 6-7 — Chloe Henn, Elgin (60)
Age 8-9 — Keyera Eisenhauer, Elgin (82)
Age 9-10 — Makenna Pelster, Bartlett (121)
Boys
Age 6-7 — Karson Kallhoff, Elgin (66)
Age 8-9 — Blake Henn, Elgin (144)
Age 10-11 — Colton Wright, Elgin (203)
Age 12-13 — Hunter Reestman, Elgin (271)
Age 14-15 — Joseph Bailey, Elgin (260)
These eight winners will move on to a sectional competition to be held Saturday, October 11 in Wood River.
They could qualify for the team championships competition to be held later this year at Kansas City.
