October 1, 2018
The Elgin City Council met in regular session on Monday, October 1, 2018, at 7:30 p.m., pursuant to posted notice. Mayor Schmitt called the meeting to order, and announced the location of the Open Meeting Act.
Council members present were Duane Miller, Don Mackel, Mike Dvorak and Jim Kittelson.

• Research and draft an ordinance allowing certain dog breeds in Elgin, provided they meet all requirements
• Allow KNBB to install an inlet and cover the existing drainage ditch
• Contact the Sheriff regarding unlicensed dogs and possible prohibited dog in Elgin
• Pursue the Paving and storm sewer improvements on Beech Street and 1st Street Project
• Ordinance vacating ½ alley behind CVA
• Building permits for KNBB and Elgin Men’s Charitable Corp

• Extension of bridge on Myrtle Street
• Extension of manhole cover in CVA alley
• Installing culvert at 6th and Oak
• No more gravel in alley behind St Boniface gym
• Pending Court Case
• Sending letters regarding nuisance properties
• Flushing fire hydrant on October 17th
• New Water and Sewer Taps
