Nebraska Public Power District has narrowed the list of potential sites under consideration for wind generation development near the communities of Petersburg and Broken Bow, Neb. The effort is part of NPPD’s plan to meet a strategic goal of generating 10 percent of its energy from renewable resources by 2020. One way to achieve this goal is to add at least 80 megawatts more of wind energy to its generation portfolio approximately every other year.
