District #18 Board of Education President Steve Heithoff said Monday that nine applicants have expressed interest in becoming the new superintendent.
Their applications will be reviewed at a special board meeting to be held Wednesday night, Feb. 11 in the distance learning room at the high school. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
The meeting will be just the first of a number this month which will focus on the hiring of a new superintendent. Since last summer, Lee Hall has been serving as interim superintendent. Hall has expressed an interest in remaining as superintendent, but it’s unclear at this time whether or not he has applied.
