One Elgin businessperson has begun serving take-out meals in response to the pandemic.
On Monday it was chicken parmesan, cheesy potatoes, green beans, chocolate cake and a bun, at Jo’s Classic Catering. Operating from her home at 200 Westridge Drive, Jodine Meis is now serving window side carry outs at noon.
Just one of many small businesses affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, Mrs. Meis said she decided to begin to serve carry out meals to meet a need.
Entrees will change daily, she said, noting that meals will be served Monday through Friday for the foreseeable future.
Persons wishing to order carry out meals are need to call the day before to guarantee a meal for the following day. The number to call is (402) 843-0268. Meals can be picked up at the window between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. For more information, see the ad in this week’s issue of The Elgin Review.
