Jenna Lordemann hired at EPS special ed position

A teaching vacancy at School District #18 has been filled.
Meeting Wednesday night, the board approved the hiring of Jenna Lordemann as a special ed instructor. She fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Kim Zwingman who served in that capacity for a number of years.
Lordemann currents works for Norfolk Public Schools. According to Superintendent Mike Brockhaus, she has been there for approximately 15 years.
From the Petersburg area, she is the wife of Eric Lordemann.
Brockhaus said, with that position filled, the school district is still hoping to add one more person for special ed. He said a second person has been interviewed for special ed and the search will continue until the position is filled.
On another matter involving staff, the superintendent said staff members continue to get COVID vaccine shots where possible.
Staff members have been able to get shots at the Elgin Pharmacy and also in Clearwater. He said he expects the process to be completed by the middle of April, possibly sooner.
Also, Brockhaus said students will be measured for band uniforms on Friday, March 26, at the school.
