Kimberly Hoffart and Michael Hewins of Kansas City, Missouri, will exchange vows in a June 13th, 2009, wedding at Longview Mansion in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Parents of the couple are Rex and Barb Hoffart of Norfolk and Allen and Brenda Hewins of Wathena, Kansas. Kimberly is the granddaughter of June Kerkman and the late Louis Kerkman of Elgin and Warren and Ruth Hoffart of Plainview.
The bride-elect, a 1999 graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School, earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Creighton University in 2004. She is employed as a nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.
Her fiancé, a 1997 graduate of Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, Missouri, attended Arizona State University and the University of Central Missouri. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and then graduated from Blue River Fire Academy in 2003. He is a firefighter for the Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department.
