Fullerton Woman Killed In Weekend Accident Near Elgin

According to a press release from the Antelope County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday night, June 15, at around 12:15 a.m., a 911 call was made requesting an ambulance on Highway 14, three miles south of Elgin. Upon arrival of EMTs and the Antelope County Sheriff’s Office, a Sarri L. Stecki, age 58, was pronounced dead at the scene.
From the investigation, it appears that Stecki had exited her vehicle at the intersection of Highway 14 and 836 Rd and at some point, the vehicle began to roll. It appears that Stecki possibly fell while attempting to re-enter the vehicle and the vehicle rolled on top of her, pinning her underneath.
Stecki was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Crew Cab pickup and the pickup was pulling a 2000 Jayco 311 Eagle travel trailer.
Both the pickup and the trailer are owned by Lawrence Daw of Fullerton, Nebraska. Stecki was employed by Richard’s Amusements and also lived in Fullerton.
An autopsy was ordered by Antelope County Attorney Joe Abler to determine the actual cause of death.
