Fangman First, Pelster Second At Dunning Saturday

DUNNING — Elgin’s “fantastic four” wrestlers were down to three Saturday, competing at the Knights Invite.
Two of the three wrestlers continued their collection of medals from meets this year.
Senior Andrew Fangman again placed first in the 170-pound weight class.
Teammate Ryan Pelster collected a second place medal for his performance in the 145-pound weight class.
The Wolfpack will next compete at the Neligh-Oakdale Invite to be held Saturday.
Individual results from Dunning were:
120 pounds — Round 1 – Kaden Guerrero (Southwest) 30-0 won by fall over Geoffrey Carr (Elgin/Pope John) (Fall 0:52); Carr received a bye; Jared Shaw (North Central) 5-13 won by fall over Carr 1-11 (Fall 3:19)
145 – Round 1 — Ryan Pelster (Elgin/Pope John) received a bye; Pelster won by fall over Jaydn Brown (North Platte St. Patrick`s) 4-4 (Fall 2:49); Pelster won by fall over Cody Downey (Southwest) 23-11 (Fall 3:07); 1st Place Match – Aaron Allison (North Platte St. Patrick`s) 20-4 won by fall over Pelster 16-5 (Fall 3:35)
170 — Quarterfinal – Andrew Fangman (Elgin/Pope John) won by fall over Brian Baker (Southeast) 3-7 (Fall 0:33); Semifinal – Fangman won by fall over Cole Hewett (Sandhills-Thedford) 15-6 (Fall 1:52); 1st Place Match – Fangman 21-2 won by fall over Seth Racicky (Ansley Litchfield) 19-8 (Fall 3:06)
