Eisenhauer scores 21 points as Wolfpack roll past Winside

WINSIDE — The Wolfpack forced Winside into 44 turnovers Saturday afternoon leading to a big victory over the Wildcats.
Behind 21 points from freshman Keyera Eisenhauer, the Wolfpack powered their way to a 58 to 17 victory over the Wildcats.
Time and time again, EPPJ’s pressure defense kept Winside from crossing half-court in a game where which saw the Wildcats held to single-digit scoring in all four quarters.
Leading 15 to 6 starting the second quarter, the Wolfpack went scoreless for over three minutes before freshman Ashlynne Charf scored on a putback for a 17 to 7 lead.
In the third quarter, Eisenhauer scored to give EPPJ a 30-point lead, 37 to 7. Later, she tossed in a three in the fourth quarter. She finished with two treys in the game.
The Wolfpack took 61 shots in the game, making 22. At the free throw line they were just nine of 20. In contrast to Winside’s 44 turnovers, the Wolfpack had just 11.
Taylynne Charf led EPPJ in steals with six. As a team, EPPJ had 26 steals compared to Winside’s one.
The win boosted EPPJ’s record to 12-3.
