There will be at least one new face on the faculty of Elgin Public Schools next year.
Meeting Thursday, the District #18 Board of Education accepted the resignation of kindergarten teacher Kate Zost. By letter, she stated her intentions to resign at the end of the 2010-2011 school year.
“This resignation is due to relocation for my husband’s new job,” Zost said. “During my time here, it has been wonderful to work with the students, staff members, administration, school board, and parents, all of whom helped me to grow and develop various skills as a professional.”
A search will soon begin for her replacement.
