CVA/UFC Merger Meeting To Be Friday

One in a series of meetings across northeast Nebraska to provide information about the proposed merger between Central Valley Ag (CVA) and United Farmers Cooperative (UFC) will be held in Elgin this week.
The informational meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 30, at 7:30 a.m. at the KC Hall in Elgin.
It will be one of three such meetings in the area. A meeting in Humphrey will be held at Club 81 at noon.
Another meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the CVA office in St. Edward.
Last March, the boards of Directors for both CVA and UFC unanimously approved and entered into a Letter of Intent to finalize an Agreement and Plan of Merger which, should it be approved by members and stockholders of the two cooperatives, would result in a merger.
UFC serves patrons in 22 counties in Nebraska and Kansas from 32 locations by a team of more than 235 fulltime employees.
CVA has a team of 494 employees to provide grain, agronomy and feed services to customers at 34 locations throughout 27 counties in Nebraska.
